ENERGY USAGE

Texas Cedarwood oil is one of the highest volume essential oils in the world and has a powerful olfactive value. As distillers, we have learned to use our spent distillation material (finely ground up cedar) as biomass fuel to generate steam, at a fraction of the cost of fossil fuels (oil & gas), while producing zero toxic emissions, and only “good carbon” CO2.

This requires burning half of the wood processed, leaving the other half available for various GREEN uses, and potentially to produce biogas and electricity.

Texas Cedarwood oil is a fully sustainable and renewable operation, given the huge area of the natural cedar forest in the Edward’s Plateau of Central Texas.
